
First day has come and gone, a truly great staff and wonderful students. Halls were full of positive relationship building, excitement, and caring by all. Timberwolf PRIDE!

Great start to the school year! High turnout at meet the teacher evening and a positive start for first day with staff and students. At Morton, every student matters, and every moment counts.

It is the Friday of Loggers Jubilee. It is always incredible to see how much this town explodes during this weekend. There is a lot of pride and passion in the community right now.

Junior High 8th grade move up today during 8th period.

Excited to see our graduation class off into the sunset today at 1:00 pm. Congratulation to all!

Please help us recognize the Morton Jr/Sr High School May students of the month. Kyla Norton, Chelsea Demarest, Michael Buchanon, and Tristan Willis. Nice job Timberwolves!

Colby and Emily were recognized by the Lewis County Commissioners at a lunch as the top two students GPA wise. Nice job guys!

It was great to see the seniors practicing and getting ready for their big day Saturday. The speakers also, have done great on their speeches.

There will be a high school volleyball meeting on Friday at 12:50 in the lecture room, for those girls’ in grades 8-11 interested in playing HS VB this summer or next fall. Only those athletes who have signed up on the athletic bulletin board will be allowed to attend this meeting.

The Morton Grade School is hosting a Book Drive. Drop off your gently used children books in the donation box in the high school office. This event will run until June 7th so clean out your closets today.

I am really excited and proud of our five new members that will be inducted into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society tonight at 6:00 pm. Congratulations.

A thank you from the Morton High School student body to all those that served and gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the rights and freedoms we do today.

There will be an FFA interest meeting, for those wanting to run for FFA office for next year on Friday May 20th. Bring your lunch and any questions you may have about the Morton FFA Chapter to Mrs. Hangers room!

We want to just thank the staff that came out to help chaperon and have a great time with the kids. It could not have happen without you. Thank you Mrs. Royle, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Frahm, Mrs. Kilmer, Mr. Stoney, Mr. O'Neill, Ms. West, Ms. Hutchison. Thank you!

Morton FFA Chapter officer applications are available in the office if you’re interested in applying for an officer position for the 2016-2017 Chapter Officer team. Officers plan and orchestrate all FFA events. Please take an application if you’re interested. Completed application packets are due to Mrs. Hanger by Thursday May 26th @ 3 pm.

The sophomore class is hosting a Dodge ball tournament this Friday @ 6pm. Games will be played in the high school gym. Each team will has to have at least one person be of the opposite gender on each team. Teams register and get their entry fees to Mr. O’Neill in advance $20.00 pre-register. Registration at the door will be $21.00 per team. The First 8 teams signed up to play – will participate. First come first serve basis. Standard dodge ball rules will apply with slight variations as will be explained before the tournament begins.
