Morton School Athletics

Morton/White Pass will host their lone meet of the season, with nine teams, on Thursday afternoon in Randle. The field events will begin at 3:45 p.m. followed by the running events at 4 p.m. The visiting teams are scheduled to be Chief Leschi, Hoquiam, Mary M. Knight, Mossyrock, Onalaska, Wahkiakum, Wishkah Valley, and the Yakama Nation Tribal School.

The Morton/White Pass baseball team will host Winlock this afternoon in Randle. The first pitch will be at 4 p.m.

The Morton/White Pass fastpitch team (3-1 overall) plays Chief Leschi at Puyallup this afternoon in a doubleheader.

The Morton/White Pass baseball and track teams will be on the road today. The baseball team will play a doubleheader in Onalaska at 3 p.m., and the track team will be in Toutle Lake at 3:30 p.m.

The Morton/White Pass girls (10-10 overall, 2-6 league) finished seventh in the Central League and will open district tournament play on Saturday. They play the Chief Leschi Warriors (8-10, 2-5), the Pacific League's third seed, at 1:30 p.m. in Montesano. The Morton/White Pass boys will play in a winner-to-district, loser-out game against the Toutle Lake Ducks Thursday night in Toledo at 6 p.m. The winner will advance to the district tournament on Saturday as the 8th-seed to face the Toledo Riverhawks and the loser will be done for the season.

Congratulations to Morton/White Pass senior Judah Kelly who scored his 1,000th career point against Kalama on Monday. He scored 36 points to boost his total to 1,031. He joins Kaleb Poquette (1,616), Matthew Poquette (1,496), Kalen Dunlap (1,366), and Zach Walton (1,161) as 1,000-point scorers in Morton/White Pass boys' basketball history. Ashley Kelly scored 1,213 for the Morton/White Pass girls.
