Morton School Athletics

The Morton/White Pass track team will be at Centralia High School on Thursday afternoon for the District IV Championships. The field events will begin at 4 p.m. (except the boys’ javelin and girls’ high jump), with the running events to start at 5 p.m. In every event, the top five finishers will advance to the state meet in Yakima (May 28-30). The Morton/White Pass track team will begin its postseason with the Central 2B Meet in Rainier on Friday afternoon (May 15). The Morton/White Pass fastpitch and baseball teams will have postseason games over the next two days.
The fastpitch team (Central League #8) will play at North Beach against the Hyaks (Pacific League #5) in a district play-in loser-out game this afternoon at 4 p.m. Win, and they will advance to the District IV Tournament on Monday in Centralia.
The baseball team finished seventh in the 2B Central League and will play the 4th-seeded Toutle Lake Ducks on Saturday in Pe Ell at 11 a.m. in a district tournament loser-out game. Win, and they will play the Pe Ell/Willapa Valley Titans at 2 p.m.
