SCHOOL NEWS FOR

MONDAY APRIL 17, 2018


There will be a Blood Drive here at the High school on Friday April 20th from 11:30- 5:30 pm.  Students 16 & 17 years of age must have a signed permission form to donate which they can get in the high school office.  The donation will be in the blood mobile bus located in the high parking lot. Donors can sign up for appointments with Mrs. Merriman in the library before Friday.


Prom Pre-Sale tickets are on sale now!  You can purchase them at the high school office before or after school.  Pre-sale tickets cost $15.00 for singles and $20.00 for couples. Reminder ~ Prom is a FORMAL dress code event.  Contact Taylor Hazen or Sydney Brooks for more information & prom details. All ticket sales sold in Pre-Sales ~ money will stay in Morton Junior Class account.


FBLA meeting during Home Room on Wednesday with Mrs. Haselwood.


There will be an FFA meeting for those attending state convention this coming Friday during lunch in Mrs. Hanger’s classroom.  This is a mandatory meeting for all participants.

The MWP HS Girls Basketball Awards night will be held on tonight @ 6:30 pm, in the White Pass High School commons.


The MWP HS Boys Basketball Awards presentations will be this coming Sunday, April 22nd in the WPHS commons starting at 1 pm.  Please bring your uniforms and practice gear with you to turn in.


Powerful Examples of Excellence Banquet is planned for Thursday, April 19th.

Thursday:  HS JV BB team @ Eatonville, athletes, dismissed 2:15 4 o’clock game

Friday:  HS Track team to W.F.West High School-Chehalis, Bus departs @ 2 pm

HS FP @ WP hosting Onalaska

Saturday: HS Track finals @ W.F.West High School-Chehalis, Bus departs @ 10 am


Reminder to MWP athletes:  The bus pick-up and drop-off site of Glenoma Grocery store will no longer be used; instead the pick-up/drop off site will be the East County Auto Shop.


The OnStage Children’s Theatre Education program is holding a Rock Around the Clock 50’s Theme fundraiser, Dance-A-Thon on Saturday, April 21st at the Tiller Arts Center in Morton.  Entry fee of $5.00, more information flyer on the office window.  Grab your group of friends & dance all day!


Reminder: the doors at the end of the hallway will remain locked during the school day.  Staff will open them from 7:20 to 7:50 when students arrive like we have been. Any student is arriving later than 7:50 will be required to go through the doors nearest the office, and sign in.


Civic Engagement camp is a 2 day camp consisting of games, outdoors and opportunities to be of service to the community. If any 7th or 8th graders are interested in building skills on the Cispus challenge course while building leadership skills as well, contact Jack with AmeriCorps to get your application.  Applications are due on April 20th – Monday April 23rd will notify successful applicants.
