The High School ASB group is asking everyone to wear Red, White & Blue on Thursday to honor our Veteran’s. Veteran’s Day Assembly is planned for Thursday 1:30 pm. The student showing the most school spirit will win a prize. Winner will be chosen before the assembly.
On November 29th the Mossyrock High School will be holding a College and Career Night form 5 – 7 pm. More information will come as the event gets closer.
November 1st to Friday November 18th the Leadership Club will be sponsoring a food drive. Please donate food that is non-perishable. Drop boxes will be in the office or Mrs. Hanger’s room. All donations collected will be given to the Pastors Pantry Food Bank in Morton to help kick off the holiday season.
Students interested in playing in the 3v3 Basketball Tournament should see Ms. West to register and pay the $15.00 entrance fees. The tournament will be held on Wednesday November 9th at 6:30 pm in the Morton gymnasium. Admission prices will be $2.00 or $1.00 with your ASB Card. All proceeds benefit the Mock Trial & FFA Clubs.
Congratulations to Manuel Martinez for his time of 19.07.9 which was good for 97th out 155 runners. He was 12th fastest freshman male runner. The girls Cross Country team finished 7th overall at the State Meet at Pasco, with Ellie Spencer placing 66th.

It was great to see the seniors practicing and getting ready for their big day Saturday. The speakers also, have done great on their speeches.
There will be a high school volleyball meeting on Friday at 12:50 in the lecture room, for those girls’ in grades 8-11 interested in playing HS VB this summer or next fall. Only those athletes who have signed up on the athletic bulletin board will be allowed to attend this meeting.
The Morton Grade School is hosting a Book Drive. Drop off your gently used children books in the donation box in the high school office. This event will run until June 7th so clean out your closets today.
I am really excited and proud of our five new members that will be inducted into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society tonight at 6:00 pm. Congratulations.

Morton FFA Chapter officer applications are available in the office if you’re interested in applying for an officer position for the 2016-2017 Chapter Officer team. Officers plan and orchestrate all FFA events. Please take an application if you’re interested. Completed application packets are due to Mrs. Hanger by Thursday May 26th @ 3 pm. The sophomore class is hosting a Dodge ball tournament this Friday @ 6pm. Games will be played in the high school gym. Each team will has to have at least one person be of the opposite gender on each team. Teams register and get their entry fees to Mr. O’Neill in advance $20.00 pre-register. Registration at the door will be $21.00 per team. The First 8 teams signed up to play – will participate. First come first serve basis. Standard dodge ball rules will apply with slight variations as will be explained before the tournament begins.
Results from the fast pitch and baseball games yesterday at Napavine: The MWP softball split with Napavine, winning the first game 122-6, losing the second game 6-10. The MWP baseball lost both games, each by one run; 1-2 & 9-10.
