ES: Starting on Oct. 19th, PK will continue with 4 days per week. Kinder will continue with 5 days per week. Grades 1-6 will follow hybrid schedule M/Th or T/F. Sorry for any confusion.

ES: All schools are directed to assess student skills and address gaps. Students will be taking our STAR and various other assessments this fall. This is a requirement of all students and helps staff address student needs.

ES: Engagement during online learning is essential and required. It counts for both a grade and attendance. Orientation will cover this topic.
Attendance will be taken daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon . Students need to login to their Zoom session and participate in order to marked present. For those who can’t log in, reach out to your teacher for further guidance.
Morton Elementary will be having individual fall pictures by Lifetouch on Wednesday, September 9th from 9-3 in the elementary gym. Watch for online ordering details soon.
ES: The 1st five days of school (Sept. 1,2,3,8 and 9th), during orientation, students will be issued Chromebooks for use if needed.
Morton Elementary will will be starting the 20-21 school year in a distance learning model. In this model, students will learn from home. Chromebook checkout and daily schedules for students will be announced.
Morton Elementary will host its annual music concert this evening in the high school gymnasium beginning at 6 p.m.
Reminder that Winter Break is from Monday, December 19th through December 30th. School resumes on Monday, January 2, 2017. I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday season.
