The bus garage is a high-priority project.
The current building has issues related to safety, efficiency and vehicle access. The original structure was built in 1942 and has had no updates since that time. The most cost-effective solution is to rebuild this building. Prior studies showed that repairing it would be more expensive than replacing it, and a new facility could be moved to unused District property behind the high school, which would allow more room for access without encroaching on neighboring property.
The School Board will continue to review options as they develop the plans for a possible bond measure.
